Coming by Car

There are many ways of getting to Grizedale Forest depending on which direction you are traveling from. Please use a route finder to plan your journey.

Access for Coaches

Coaches must come from the South via the A590 to Greenodd onto the A5092, turning right at Penny Bridge onto the road signed Colton and Oxen Park, and not via Haverthwaite. Please ring the Visitor Centre to confirm the best route before traveling.

Public Transport

Nearest train stations, Windermere, Ulverston and Grange over sands. A public bus service runs as far as Hawkshead.
